多样性中心 & 包容

The 多样性中心 and 包容 collaborates with Student Affairs and Academic Affairs to promote a 多样化的, welcoming campus environment and foster a climate of success for underrepresented students, 工作人员, 和老师. We promote meaningful learning and dialogue around issues of diversity, 包容, and social justice through educational programming and advocacy.

  1. To be a visible campus presence that models collaboration, 包容, and community;
  2. To provide resources for and develop community among students, 工作人员, 和老师 from historically underrepresented identities;
  3. To encour年龄 programming that connects students to local resources and communities; and
  4. To develop education and programs that enhance cultural competencies, 跨文化视角, and an understanding of issues related to social justice.

The 多样性中心 and 包容 are comprised of the 妇女与性别研究中心, 石墙中心, Rise Up中心,和 Pa 'lante中心. The centers are located on the lower level of Frost Hall.

Since its founding, diversity and 包容 have been an integral component of LC’s mission. Our diversity efforts strive to foster and celebrate diversity while promoting inclusiveness within our campus community. By exposing the campus community to a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives, we work to create an environment that reflects and emb比赛s the diversity of our society.

As a community and a college, we value diversity in all its forms. We recognize and emb比赛 the many differences that make us who we are.

Our goal is to foster a culture that celebrates differences and challenges stereotypes and hidden assumptions; eng年龄s in meaningful discussions around power, 特权, and oppression; and creates a community built on respect and support. We demonstrate our commitment to historically underrepresented groups and diversity in all aspects of campus life and embolden our community to create an inclusive, 多样化的, 公平的, 社会公正的校园环境.
